Whether you are a current Zoom grant recipient or have purchased your license through UMCom, we wanted to share about changes coming in the next few months.
Effective immediately, we are no longer able to provide Zoom license grants. We thank our paid licensee partners who chose to pay it forward, helping others benefit from this service. Over the past five years, using our agency budget allocations paired with these gifts, we've been honored to assist hundreds of UM church contacts with savings each as a part of our former grant program.
UMCom had hoped to continue to provide local United Methodist churches and UMC-affiliated organizations, conferences and districts with discounted access to enterprise-level Zoom licenses in 2026. Unfortunately, at this time Zoom has not agreed to a discounted license fee that will allow us to provide the same services you have come to value but below market price as in the past.
We encourage all our Zoom license holders to establish a non-profit license directly with Zoom. You can find information on the process of signing up and transferring your current license on their non-profit page. By starting the process early, you can ensure a smoother transition.
If you have not finalized signing up for a paid license by April 19, 2026, your license will be deactivated.
UMCom's UMCChurches.org team is here should you need assistance in the process or have questions.
Should Zoom agree to a negotiated rate in the future, we may revisit the possibility of offering license services again at that time. However, we cannot speculate nor plan around unknowns.
We're grateful that you chose us to assist your ministry's needs and appreciate your understanding of the necessary changes in service options.
United Methodist Communications is excited for what God has in store for The United Methodist Church and its ministries. We remain committed to being your trusted partner in helping you to achieve success via Christ-centered communication.
